A compound metric is based on arithmetic operators and non-group function, such as sum or average, which is applied to facts, attributes, or other metrics. It can also contain non-group functions or arithmetic operators, in addition to the required group function.

A view filter dynamically limits the data being displayed on a report without re-executing the report against the warehouse.
